Civil Engineering

Civil engineering is perhaps the oldest engineering discipline, dating to the first time someone placed a roof over his or her head or laid a tree trunk across a river to make it easier to get across.

Of course, we’ve made progress since then, and our engineers design, build, and maintain the foundation for society – roads and bridges, drinking water and energy systems, seaports and airports, and the infrastructure for a cleaner environment.

We use our in-depth understanding of physics, mathematics, geology and hydrology to  plan, design, draft, and review plans for roadway alignments, grading and drainage improvements, horizontal layouts, erosion control plans, ADA access, and utility layout plans on typical land development projects, both new and existing.

We offer help with selection, specifications for processes and materials, review bids from subcontractors, ensure compliance with building codes, and supervise all phases of construction.
